Working as a Resident Medical Officer Locum in Australia
In order to be eligible to work as a Resident Medical Officer Locum in Australia, you must firstly apply directly to the Australian Medical Council and secondly to the relevant state or territory Medical Board where you would like to work.
How to you go about registering with a Medical Board
To register to work in Australia, the majority of the Medical Boards for each State and Territory require all new applicants to successfully complete the Australian Medical Council (AMC) Multiple Choice Questionnaire (MCQ) examination - http://amc.org.au/index.php/img/exam/mcq
Once you have successfully completed and passed the AMC’s MCQ, you are then able to apply for registration with the Medical Board in the State or Territory you wish to work.
