Working as a Radiologist in Australia

In order to be eligible to work as a Radiologist in Australia, you need to be eligible for registration with The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR). The RANZCR is the governing body who evaluate and register doctors to practice as a Radiologist in Australia www.ranzcr.edu.au. To practice in Australia you do not initially have to be registered with the Australian Medical Council, only the State or Territory in which you wish to work.

How to go about Registering with the RANZCR 

Firstly, you will need to apply to the Australian Specialist College of your training called The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists - www.ranzcr.edu.au. Once registration with the college has been granted you are then able to register with the Medical Board in the State or Territory you wish to work in.

Each State and Territory in Australia has their own Medical Board. In order to practice in one of the States or Territory every doctor needs to be registered with that governing board.
